The purpose of this notice is to explain to you what we will be doing with the financial information that you provide, and the ways that we will protect your privacy.

The Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility for CDFA™s requires us to hold client information to the highest standards of confidentiality. These professional standards are even more stringent than those required by federal law. Therefore, we will always protect your right to privacy. Federal law also requires that we advise and inform you as to how we are protecting your privacy.

Types of nonpublic personal information we collect – We collect nonpublic personal information about you that is provided by you or obtained by us in the course of providing you with services that you have requested. This information includes information about your personal finances and property.

Disclosure of information – We disclose nonpublic personal information about you only to individuals or entities necessary in order to provide you with the services that you have requested. For instance, we may have to access your nonpublic personal information in order for us to efficiently provide you with the services you have requested. In some situations, we may provide information to another organization or entity, (such as your attorney, accountant, insurance representative, or realtor) in order to obtain information or assist him or her in providing the services you have requested. We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about you to anyone, except as is necessary to provide you with the services that you have specifically requested.

You have the right to prohibit disclosure of your information – If for any reason you do not want us to provide nonpublic personal information about you to the other party or parties in the course of providing the requested services, you may direct us not to make specific disclosures. If you wish to direct us not to disclose information, please let us know in writing of the specific information you would like us not to disclose and to whom.

Your privacy is very important to us – We retain records and files (paper and electronic) relating to the professional services you have requested. In order to safeguard your nonpublic personal information, we maintain procedures mandated by the Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility.
