Mediation is an excellent way to reach a a mutually agreeable solution in the divorce process. Whether or not an agreement can be reached in mediation depends upon whether or not both parties agree.
As your CDFA™:
- I can assist by taking on the role of a financial neutral to concentrate on creative settlement options and complicated financial analysis.
- I can work in conjunction with an attorney to advance and explain settlement options, financial analysis and financial strategies that may minimize the tax consequences to both parties.
- I can act as a consultant to a party to help level the playing field surrounding financial knowledge, experience, and expectations.
You must understand your rights and obligations under the law in order to be a willing and informed participant in mediation. Only an attorney can explain these rights and obligations completely.
I cannot and do not provide legal advice.
